This type of banknotes were printed from Java after Japanese seized Indonesia and transpoted through Singapore then delivered to Bangkok by trains. Before they would been issued, some of them with the counterfeit signature of Minister of Finance and serial number were used in circulation. It was found that they were lost on the way to bangkok. The government announced all of those banknotes were illegal.
The shortage of banknote was still serious, so the government solved the problem by overprinting These 10 Baht banknotes became 50 Satang ones. The original value, 10 Baht in Thai fonts and numerals, was superimposed by 50 Satang in Thai fonts and numeral in black.
