7th Series, 1000 Baht type 1 Thai Banknote, Special Series
During the initial age of war, the need of banknotes enormously increased because the need of Japanese troop consumption. The high value banknotes had to be issued to reduce the used of low value notes. The Royal Thai Survey Department printed the 1000 banknotes in two types on the paper from the Thai Paper Mill in Kanchanaburi Province.

The front has the portrait of King Rama VIII on the right and the picture of the Phra Prang Sam Yod in the middle. The back depicts a side veiw of the Royal Anantasamakom Throne Hall.
