4th Series Thai banknotes (Thomas de la Rue)

Early in the reign of King Rama VIII, banknotes 3rd series, type2, continued in use for some time, due to the large quantity remaining from the previous reign.
When they were about to run out, the Ministry of Finance placed a new order with Thomas de la Rue for five denominations, 1 Baht, 5 Baht, 10 Baht, 20 Baht and 1000 Baht. This series are classified into two types. |

4th Series Thai Banknote Type 1
|
|
| Type 1 : The front showed a portrait of King Rama VIII on the left, the Garuda at the upper middle or above of the guilloche design, and the Ayarapot on the lower right corner. The Golden Mountain Stupa, the Dusidabhirom Pavillion and the Chakri Mahaprasat Throne Hall depicted on this series. On the back was a picture of the Anantasamakom Throne Hall among a guilloche design. |

4th Series Thai Banknote Type 2 |
|
|
Type 2 : This type was identical to type 1. But in accordance with the 1939 amendment concerning the country's name, the word Government of Siam became Thai Government. |

4th Series Thai Banknote Type 3
|
|
Type 3 : There is only 1 Baht denomination of Type 3. It identical to 1 Baht 4th Series type 2 but change the alphabetical code and serial numeral from Thai to Roman. |
4th Series Thai banknotes (Royal Thai Survey Department)
| Due to the need for more currency during the war, the Thai government decided to print note domestically, using paper from the Thai Paper Mill in Kanchanaburi Province. they came in four denominations and two types, 1 Baht, 10 Baht, 20 Baht amd 100 Baht. |
