Thai banknote online museum > Room 2 > 11th Series11th Series Thai banknotesThe Thailand Note Printing Works had begun operations with the printing of banknotes, 11the Series since June 24, 1969. During the initial stage of its operations, it was neccessary to rely on foreign experts to design and engrave the printing plates to work with a specialist in Thai visual arts from the Fine Arts Department to design banknotes with uniquely Thai characteristics.
Banknotes 11th Series, were issued five denominations, 5 Baht, 10 Baht, 20 Baht, 100 Baht and 500 Baht. In 1975, 500 Baht banknote were printed for the first time and was the first issued of banknotes which the Note Printing Works managed the whole production process, including the designing and engraving. |
